Peru has two distinct seasons: wet and dry. The dry season lasts from May to October, whereas the rainy season lasts from November to April. Between January and the end of April is the rainy season. It's not the greatest season to visit Peru, especially in the mountains, where highways and trekking paths may be obstructed or closed.
The majority of visitors arrive in Peru between the beginning of May and the end of November, with July and August being the busiest months. May and September are excellent months to visit since tourist slows down a little but the weather remains lovely. There will be brilliant sunny days between June and September if you want to spend some time in the mountains (but chilly nights). It's a great time to take a walk along the Inca Trail. It's also the finest time to visit the Amazon Basin, as mosquitoes aren't as prevalent.
From December to April, temperatures on the desert coast can range from 77°F to 95°F (25°C to 35°C), whereas the climate is pleasant from May to October.
